So my GF is really getting into cars. Thank god we can share car interests now lol. She is about to buy a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S. About 180 HP stock. I have a 2002 civic LX. Starts out at 120 HP stock. I have put in a DC Sports racing header, AEM CAI, APEXi exhaust system, NGK Racing sprak plugs, and TEIN Lowering springs. They are both manual. Remember her celica is stock. If we were at a stop light and started drag racing who would win? lol she says she would kick my a** is she right?

Depends on how well you both drive. My Focus (‘01 ZX3, 90,000 miles) only has about 120 hp (it’s getting a little old, so the power is down a bit from new), and I can still keep even with the Toyotas and Hondas – and the odd BMW. It just takes a bit more skill. Since your cars will be relatively evenly matched, driver skill will play a big part in who wins.

Add more stickers….. a wing, a fake nitrous bottle and with the extra 200hp that you ricers think is gained with all this, you’ll be much faster.
Racing should be done at the track…. Basically who cares they’re both slugs even if you had a full nitrous system installed, it’ll still be slow.
